The aim of a Backgammon match is to shift your pieces around the Backgammon board and pull those pieces from the game board faster than your opposing player who works harder to achieve the same buthowever they move in the opposing direction. Succeeding in a match in Backgammon needsrequires both tactics and fortune. How far you will be able to move your chips is up to the numbers from rolling a pair of dice, and just how you move your pieces are determined by your overall gambling tactics. Players use differing techniques in the differing stages of a match depending on your positions and opponent’s.

The Running Game Plan

The aim of the Running Game technique is to bring all your pieces into your inside board and get them off as quickly as you can. This tactic concentrates on the speed of moving your chips with no time spent to hit or barricade your competitor’s checkers. The best scenario to use this strategy is when you think you can move your own pieces a lot faster than the opposing player does: when 1) you have a fewer chips on the game board; 2) all your pieces have past your competitor’s pieces; or 3) your opponent doesn’t use the hitting or blocking tactic.

The Blocking Game Strategy

The main aim of the blocking technique, by its name, is to stop your opponent’s pieces, temporarily, while not fretting about shifting your checkers rapidly. As soon as you’ve created the blockage for your opponent’s movement with a few chips, you can shift your other chips swiftly from the game board. You really should also have a clear plan when to withdraw and shift the checkers that you used for blocking. The game becomes interesting when the opponent uses the same blocking technique.
