As we dicussed in the last article, Backgammon is a casino game of talent and luck. The aim is to move your chips carefully around the board to your inside board while at the same time your opponent shifts their checkers toward their inner board in the opposing direction. With opposing player pieces shifting in opposing directions there is going to be conflict and the need for specific techniques at specific times. Here are the last 2 Backgammon strategies to complete your game.

The Priming Game Tactic

If the goal of the blocking strategy is to hamper the opponents ability to move his checkers, the Priming Game strategy is to completely block any activity of the opponent by building a prime – ideally 6 points in a row. The competitor’s pieces will either get bumped, or result a battered position if he/she ever attempts to escape the wall. The trap of the prime can be established anyplace between point 2 and point eleven in your game board. Once you have successfully constructed the prime to prevent the activity of your opponent, the opponent doesn’t even get to roll the dice, and you move your chips and roll the dice yet again. You will win the game for sure.

The Back Game Technique

The objectives of the Back Game plan and the Blocking Game plan are similar – to harm your competitor’s positions in hope to boost your odds of winning, however the Back Game plan uses seperate tactics to do that. The Back Game strategy is commonly utilized when you’re far behind your opponent. To compete in Backgammon with this tactic, you need to control two or more points in table, and to hit a blot late in the game. This strategy is more complex than others to use in Backgammon seeing as it needs careful movement of your checkers and how the checkers are moved is partially the outcome of the dice toss.
