The aim of a Backgammon match is to move your checkers around the game board and pull them off the game board faster than your opponent who works harder to attempt the same buthowever they move in the opposite direction. Winning a game of Backgammon requires both strategy and luck. Just how far you will be able to move your pieces is up to the numbers from rolling the dice, and just how you shift your checkers are determined by your overall gambling techniques. Players use differing strategies in the differing stages of a match dependent on your positions and opponent’s.
The Running Game Strategy
The aim of the Running Game technique is to entice all your chips into your home board and bear them off as quick as you can. This strategy focuses on the speed of advancing your pieces with absolutely no time spent to hit or stop your opponent’s chips. The best scenario to use this strategy is when you believe you can shift your own chips quicker than your opposing player does: when 1) you have a fewer checkers on the board; 2) all your pieces have past your opponent’s chips; or 3) your opponent doesn’t employ the hitting or blocking tactic.
The Blocking Game Strategy
The primary aim of the blocking plan, by its name, is to block the competitor’s checkers, temporarily, not fretting about shifting your checkers quickly. Once you’ve established the blockade for the competitor’s movement with a couple of checkers, you can shift your other chips quickly from the board. You will need to also have an apparent plan when to extract and shift the checkers that you used for blocking. The game becomes intriguing when the competitor utilizes the same blocking tactic.
