The ideal time to employ this tactic is when you believe you might be able to shift your own pieces quicker than the opposition does: when 1) you have less chips on the game board; 2) all your chips have past your competitor’s chips; or 3) your opposing player doesn’t use the hitting or blocking strategy.
The Blocking Game Tactic
The main aim of the blocking technique, by the title, is to block the competitor’s chips, temporarily, while not worrying about moving your pieces quickly. As soon as you have established the blockage for your opponent’s movement with a couple of chips, you can shift your other chips swiftly from the board. The player really should also have an apparent strategy when to extract and move the checkers that you used for blocking. The game becomes interesting when the opposition uses the same blocking strategy.
