The objective of a Backgammon game is to move your pieces around the game board and get those pieces from the game board quicker than your challenger who works just as hard to attempt the same buthowever they move in the opposing direction. Winning a match of Backgammon requires both strategy and luck. Just how far you will be able to shift your chips is left to the numbers from tossing the dice, and how you move your pieces are determined by your overall gambling plans. Enthusiasts use a few strategies in the different parts of a game depending on your positions and opponent’s.

The Running Game Strategy

The goal of the Running Game tactic is to lure all your pieces into your inside board and get them off as quick as you can. This tactic focuses on the speed of advancing your pieces with little or no time spent to hit or block your competitor’s pieces. The ideal time to use this plan is when you think you might be able to move your own pieces a lot faster than the opponent does: when 1) you have less chips on the game board; 2) all your pieces have moved beyond your competitor’s checkers; or 3) your opposing player does not use the hitting or blocking plan.

The Blocking Game Technique

The primary aim of the blocking technique, by its title, is to stop your competitor’s pieces, temporarily, not worrying about moving your pieces rapidly. After you have established the blockage for the competitor’s movement with a few chips, you can shift your other chips quickly off the game board. You really should also have a good plan when to back off and move the chips that you employed for the blockade. The game gets intriguing when your competitor utilizes the same blocking tactic.
